BACT/ALERT® 3D
Fully automated microbial detection system- Simple
- Rapid
- Productivity
The BACT/ALERT®is a simple, automated rapid microbial detection system capable of detecting BACTerial, yeast and mold contamination in a wide variety of food and beverage matrices.
Ease of use, objective results, reproducibility and traceability are key characteristics of BACT/ALERT®’s modular design.
Food companies worldwide trust the proven performance of BACT/ALERT® to confidently release their products faster than traditional methods.
Decreased time to detection yields shortened production cycles and quicker product release. This not only shortens the time to market but also affords lean manufacturing though production agility.
Real-time monitoring during the production process yields valuable, actionable information for faster informed decisions. Shortened time to detection also empowers you to take corrective action and gracefully recover from contamination events.
BACT/ALERT®’s patented colorimetric technology and industrially-optimized range of culture media deliver detection of a wide range of organisms within 24-72 hours.
Simple and rapid microbial detection
The standard BACT/ALERT® system consists of one controller module and one incubator module with capacity to simultaneously incubate and detect contamination within 240 individual samples.
Modularity affords you the flexibility to add up to six incubator modules to a single controller module so the system can adapt and grow with you.
Fully automated, BACT/ALERT® 3D enables you to obtain consistent, accurate and objective results with minimum effort.
1. Select appropriate BACT/ALERT® culture medium bottle
2. Inoculate bottle with sample 3. Load bottle into BACT/ALERT® system
Each BACT/ALERT® bottle contains sterile culture medium and is imbedded with a colorimetric sensor that changes from gray to yellow in the presence of CO2 produced by growing microorganisms.
Once bottles are loaded, the colorimetric sensors are scanned every ten minutes. Once growth is detected, the system alarms both audibly and visually and the sample data is recorded.
Why choosing BACT/ALERT® 3D ?
From increased productivity in the lab to reducing product quarantine time, BACT/ALERT® has value to many parts of the food manufacturing organization.
• Simple, standardized workflow • Reduced hands-on time and labor costs • Reduced inventory holding costs • Objective results for even viscous/cloudy samples • Robust detection BACTeria, yeasts and molds • Non-destructive method • Two incubation temperature (32.5°C and 22.5°C) available with BACT/ALERT® Dual-T • Compatible with low and high acid food and beverage products
